Post by: 86caribbean on April 04, 2015, 08:29:03 AM: Yes with the proper gaskets now days you can bolt on a pair of Mark IV heads to a Gen V block. I did this to my 1994 Chevy crew cab dually with a Gen V 7.4L 454. I bolted on a slicked up pair of 1973 049 Mark IV heads to that block eight years ago and never had any problems.
