Tried to drop my new engine in the boat today and the Dooley 10qt oil pan is resting on the front of the intake. Any suggestions ???

Sounds to me like the alignment is a mile off... Drop the nose of the motor.

Motor mounts are still in the original place. I had the stock pan on there before. The mounts look like they are as high as they go. Can I add a spacer?

They are the stock 3 points. If I switch to 4 points will it fix the issue?

It contacts the 2 forward nuts of the intake about 2 inches in from the rear of oil pan

How hard?

Is the rubber insulator on the rear mount in good condition?

Can you cut/grind off the bolts and smooth them up?

You need to raise the front motor mounts a little, the bolt going through the mount, is that slotted?

No they aren't slotted unfortunately. I cut the bolts down flush with the nuts and I'm going to try again and see if it fits. The rubber mount on the pump is brand new.

Because the back of your motor is the stock bellhousing and u are using the original front mounts the 10 quart pan won't work u need to go 4 point mount system or rail kit.
