that's like saying that a stock 454 is all you need in a jet boat. But when you built a 454 with a blower and injection that push over 1000hp in the same boat. oh the fun!!! ;D
-
It's nice to see that at least SOME of you guys like a little boat to go along with
your engine ;D
Can you hear after a day of running with the over the transom headers?? Just curious.
Sharp though, very sharp!
-
hahah ya you can hear, everything sounds like a boat hauling ass for the rest of the day.. ;D

I had supertapps on my headers for a long time and the fuzz never hassled me . I took them off and it was a night and day diffrence in the front seat . I could actually talk to my wife WHILE RUNNING and when I put in some straight through louvered muffs in . SHIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAT ! All this while running them wet of course .

Thats what you get for living so close to Canada!

;D So that's it. Canada is the one screwing up the weather. Where is Rebel anyhow. He needs to bring this rain back north where it belongs.
Wish we coulda hooked up with you when you were up here OC2Vegas
Now back to the topic at hand, who's got the fastest non racing setup. The NW gang just stole another of the big hitters from down south.
"Stretch Limo" is a 21ft Eliminator Daytona with a 565 BBC by DNE Motorsports powering a custom jet drive. An MPD/Edelbrock Qwikdata system records the performance data, which in 2003 has been a best of 8.55/126+. Note the single 4 barrel carb! (Owner Marty Stretch has since sold this boat).
After Marty sold it the guy installed a 588" chev with a mag 14-71 and stand alone injection and now has sold it again.
The new owners Matt & Kim Ringer are super cool friends of ours and we're all looking forward to getting this boat up north (where it belongs ;D)
-
Well, the Stretch Limo is now in the NorthWest. Matt and BLT made a non-stop 48hour drive other than refills for Redbull and beef jerky. Really looking forward to seeing this badass boat run up here.....

Nope, full interior with stereo. Still runs at 114 which is regoddamndiculas iff'n you ask me. Given the number of 100+ boats in the gang, we are all pushing hard for real jackets, shorts and helmets for next season for those big runs.
Me on the other hand will be in the slow class where flipflops and swimsuits are the proper attire.

Not bad at all for a family boat John ;D
-
Thanks Tony,
It made 4 passes back to back off the Nos in the 99 mph range +/- .5 mph 99.7-99.2 at 6,200
If I had thought about it after the last pass I would have spun the intake scoop around to see what it would do. Next year I'll make thee runs back to back and then spin the scoop around. I'll put it in my note book so I don't forget.

21 foot cheyenne, full of people and coolers gps 60.1 mph 5400 RPM
Modified A impeller
I think I need to do some jet work, this is my baseline for tuning and tweeking the combo.
MPD gets the boat when I can afford it.
