Title: Holley gasket question...
Post by: skee on March 26, 2009, 06:44:07 PM
I o-hauled my Holley and the base gasket that came with the kit is an "open bore"...the one that came off of it is a "4 hole bore"...Now,the stock intake is also a "4 bore"...question is...can I use the "open bore" gasket that came with the o-haul kit and also what is the difference or is that not worth askin' ::) :banghead: ??? Thanx in advance for answers and input...    Tracy   aka "Skee"

I don't think it will be a big deal.  I was checking through my Holley catalog to see if there was any notes (nothing listed), but saw a "4 hole" spacer kit complete with 2 open center gaskets  ;D

Soooo you don't get an answer in ten minutes and you get tesy   :screwy:
IMHO you can rin either gasket (the four hole and the open)  I have used the thicker open gasket before and it seems to make idle quality improve, but could be a Assonometer error...I say makes no difference whatsoever...

There, happy?

We're feelin it bro, trust me, sometimes it's harder staying busy than it is being busy...Does that even make any sense?

I'm trying to keep 6 guys busy with enough work for one or two, it's tough out there...I see a light at the end of the tunnel though, hey, maybe it's a train! ::)
