I went out to el cap today and ran the boat for about 2 hours to test out the jetovator. The boat in it's entirety was flawless. I beached the boat, chilled on the shore, went to leave about 30 minutes later and it sounded like the batteries were weak. It wouldn't start it but I would turn over very slow. I turn the batteries off everytime I turn the boat off. I went to the batteries to see if the negative or positive wires might have come loose and they wernt. But the negative post burnt the sh!t out of my fingers. I let it sit longer and a ranger brought a jumper box. And the same thing happened. Both batteries are new interstate marine batteries with 3 trips on them now.
Any one else ever have this problem?

the hot terminal indcates a resistance! check the terminals see if there dirty, most likly you have a bad wire. check your starter wire.

Bad ground or bad ground cable. ;)

Or bad starter, and the ground cable is smaller gauge than the positive cable. If the starter is bad and drawing huge amounts of current, the heat will show up in the weakest cable/connection.

Could be. Whatever it is, get it fixed like pronto! Boats make good kindling......... :banghead:

Heat equals resistance. Resistance equals ineffiecency.

The starter looks new. I don't remember the exact condition of the wires. I'll check them tomorrow.

Check the starter voltage draw 2 volts or less, be sure the batteries are up so you don't get a false reading.
