Title: How do I flush fuel tanks??
Post by: bluenun on June 23, 2007, 08:22:21 PM
I finally looked in the fuel tanks of the Tahiti today. When I bought it the prevoius owner told me he flushed em before he stored the boat. Well that is not the case I can smell old gas in both tanks and there freakin full.... So what should i use to clean them out?? Is there a certain chemical to use and how do you pump out the crud???

The easist way would be to go to like harbor frieght or similar store, get a cheapy hand pump. I would actually then remove the tanks form the boat to fluh them. Any auto parts store should have a fuel flush.

Just keep in mind to read anything first and make sure that what you use is safe for your type of tanks.

Good luck disposing the old gas.
