This is what came out of the tank..

Dont know if you can see but this side was restricting the flow, like it was smashed inside. Looks like a home made job

So can anyone tell me what to do or where to look / go , to get a replacement and have it done up right this time ???

This feeds from the side of the tank...... :banghead:

I probably can but i will still need some type of fuel pick up tube , and i have to see if it will clear the Gunwale ???

I will go shove it in and see what kind of room i got............ Im thinking about what you said , and just solder another one together ???

That flexable wiring conduit will leak so bad you effectivly have no pick up tube. Try that other hole ( I cant tell if it's the top or bottom of the tank). If it's bottom no tube, if it's top solder a straight copper tube to a fitting long enough to reach almost to the bottom of the tank.

Where is your fuel gauge sender in relation to that bung. So you are saying that bung is a the 9 o'clock position (if right side tank). And that BX cable is curved to try to get to the bottom of the tank. I am wondering why you cannot turn the tank so the bung is straight up but it depends where the gauge sender float and fills are. See my post about making larger fuel pickup feeds and a vent.
You might want to find some alum thin wall tube and get a new fitting (looks like 3/8NPT). Then you have to mock up the fitting in that bung and orient where the tube would go. I have taken about 4 tank pickups apart and they all seem to have the tubes epoxied to the backside of the fitting. Hokey in my book. Have it tigged. Better yet send it to me. ;D Are your tanks alum.
Good Luck.

Ya I went back and looked at the welds on the bungs, stainless. If you find some thin wall tube you can bend it for the curve you need for the pickup tube. Let us know how is goes..

I just need to go get a couple fittings............

Glad it worked out for you. Yes to be USCG approved the feed must be on the top of the tank, so I was wondering why it was on the side. Looks good.

This is a retired circle boat and it was set up for one thing.............RACING ;D  thats why they used the side port....he ran 1/2"  ID fuel line    so now i will take it back to 3/8 fuel line, which will be plenty. Its no longer a race boat ;)  Thanks for all the suggestions, but once again i got ahead of myself!
