Not sure if all throttle cables are the same, but I'm able to adjust about an 1" or so.

Idle cable has nothing to do with it dying at all. Unless the carb isnt at idle till cable is on.

The cable does adjust with a 5/16 wrench BUT if it dies with the cable on I would say it never was at idle till cable was on. Turn up idle to about 1100rpms with cable out of water. Also get a return spring on there. I always run 2 at carb and my foot peddle has another.

Also washers and lock washers under carb mounting bolts would be a nice addition.

It's got tension on it. It's pulling it too low rpm at idle. Just raise off the cable and reattach

The carb should be at idle no matter what, no matter how hard you pull on it back. It looks like a brand new carb so I cant be worn out anything.

Kinda hard to tell from the pic but I have washers on there, just not lock washers. Makes sense though .

My carp set up is pretty close to the one in the picture. Bec I had it at my friends shop and they tuned it up and when the cable off it ran perfect and when I got home and hooked up the cable it sounds like its not getting enough fuel so should I put more or less tension on the cable ? Sorry guys I'm learning as I go so it's taking me a bit longer to understand

So there is your answer....your cable ...adjust it ! At the carb ...or the peddle . I may be wrong ....

Loose throttle shafts will do what you describe too..

The cable end should be able to be removed and installed fairly easily...
