Title: Ignition

Need to replace distributor for my 455 olds with points thinking of going with Mallory or msd electronic ignition or possibly a Davis DUI which would be better trying to do home work and it's all learning twords the DUI but I would like your guys opinions

IMO I had points on mine when I first bought it switched to an msd marine ready to run and have been nothing but happy with the switch.

Had a friend that ran one but there so bulky due to the coil being part of the distributor may not fit with certain intake and scoop set ups

There is an ignition company called "Flamethrower" that converts your tired mechanical triggered distributor to an electric distributor while maintaining a factory look. I've used their product multiple times it's quick, easy, and always started up well and timed well.
