Which Brand logs flow better?  Does anyone know where flow testing may be posted?

The best logs I have ever tested were marketed under the name Kodiak, they were built for Kodiak marine, but don't have a clue who actually built them, I know they performed as good as the water jacketed headers, but cost about half, and they were sexy too. i'll see if I can scare up the catalogue online.

Those technically arent logs . More of a minifold and at $1200 they arent very cheap .

If your lookin for performance , dont look at logs . The kodiacs would definatly be an upgrade but nothing like a true header . I've seen used water jacketed headers go for as much as those new manifolds go for . What do you have now .

I seriously doubt if there is a difference between the 2 brands you're looking at/considering.

Yeah you're right about them not being logs, sorry about that, but figured if EW was really going to look at performance this would be a good way to go, (I made an assumtion there), BTW these can be purchased directly from Kodiak, and if memory serves it would end up saving you about 25-30%,which is huge.
If your stuck with using logs, most are very similar, with the biggest differences in the risers, sometimes they choke down pretty tight, the amount of water sent through them make enormous differences, logs that sweep up above the exhaust centerline typically floww a little better, but can be hard to rig in most boats.

Again sorry for the assumtions :-[

Hot Boat magazine did an actual dyno. test a while back but could not find it. I really like the Hardins on our SBC, but it is pretty wild to start with. You know, overcammed, overcarbed, and abused.

I went from the upward style to these logs for valve cover clearance.  Hardin marine.

I have a 77 Glastron Carlson CV 23 so over the top headers are out.  The Stud girdle and roller rockers ruled out the upward exhaust..... Doesn't anyone make a decent log?

All I've seen were oldie's on Ebay.  We did port the Hardin logs but 4 inch exits would be nice

No. It's inherent in the design for it to flow poorly.

I have a nice set of Holman Moody's that are considered the "better" log out of some of the logs out there. They are a rare piece and I don't need em

What do you need for them, and are they 3" exits?   I never heard of them making logs before.
They all look so close the same it makes you wonder if they used the same plans.

I haven't decided what to do yet.  I'm just trying to find the best flowing manifolds I can.
Once that happens I'll sell the rest.  I paid $126 on ebay for the Hardin manifolds and the high risers are the one's that came on the boat.  There is no brand name on them that I could see.
