Intake manifold questions???

I am wanting to replace factory Chevy Z-28 intake for BBC this winter and I can get a Edelbrock Victor Jr. 454-o from a friend but what I read about it it recommends 850cfm carb with I only have a 3150 holley which I believe is a 750. Will that be ok? I didn't want to buy a bigger carb too to do this or should I see about a different manifold and which is better single plane or dual?

Just my humble opinion but it should not make that much difference, just make sure to check the jetting once the new manifold is installed. It very well may change the AFR.

Correction, Holley carb is a 3310

Or should I just stay with the early 70's Z-28 intake?

My personal opinion again, I would not change the manifold unless you are planning to up your game as far as carburetor capabilities, I think you will be making a lateral step.

The Victor Jr. is a good manifold though.

edit; I think your carburetor is holding you back more than the manifold.
