I am gunna purchase a billet crankshaft pulley and was thinking of going underdrive, Im not sure if this will affect my charging from altenator?

In an automotive application I would say yes, but in a jet boat where you spend most time above 3000 rpm you shouldn't have a problem.

I use one myself, works fine.

X2!
You also have to consider that we have little demand on the alternator. No lights, brake/turnsignals, etc. Kickass stereo in some cases, but other than the ignition system and guages, no draw. Consider the rpms we run at, yeah, reduce it to the rediculous.....
