At least you found out now and not while on fire at the river!

Make sure you check everything from time to time.

One thing on a boat.  You use heater hose the black  stuff.  I never use that shit on my fuel.  Spin the money and run AN fittings and steel Branded hose.  You will never have issues ever again.  That is one thing you do not want to break it a fuel line.  Just my opinion.

Thanks I will get it this winter for the last couple of times out ill just get fuel hose for now. This winter plan is to pull motor and interior out so I will change it all then.

I've seen exactly one boat fire....it was FAST -and scary.....and put a lasting impression in my mind for sure.

I RR my fuel lines every year. it's cheap insurance and it provides piece of mind...... it may be overkill but I don't mind.

NHRA sportsman rules allow no more than 6" of rubber fuel line totall for the vehicle , theres a reason for this , personally I would use aluminum fuel lines in 3/8 or 1/2 morroso makes them and replumb the whole boat.

I have seen copper, stainless steel and steel fuel lines. The mistake most often found is in the hose connections. These must be barbed or AN.

USCG fuel hose is extremely durable and lasts a good long while.

since this thread was bumped I'm actually looking into replumbing my boat with hardline.  With all the hoses for cooling, high pressure steering, low pressure return, trim pumps, etc. it would look 50000x better in all hardline and be muuuch easier to manage.  Plus it seems that the hardline is much cheaper in the long run as well. I was talking to a guy that does hydraulics setups for low riders and he said its fairly easy with the right tools.  Dont get me wrong the AN braided hose looks swet but its somewhat bulky and hard to bend around.  I'm trying to keep everything tight and clean and its tough.
