Title: let lose!
Post by: Nordie on April 17, 2010, 07:49:40 PM
Well the old 429 finally let lose on me on the old tahiti...I was cruising across the lake about 3500rpm and decided to lay the hammer down....so I did and then the motor made a funny noise and so I looked at the gauges and seen 0 oil psi! Then suddenly a rod nock so I shut her down! I had brandon/nordic454 tow me in and still made a day out of it

Ouch, tragic!

If interested, we've got a 429 long-block ready to go 0.030 over with forged flat tops, RV cam, double roller chain, wildly ported large valve D0VE heads (10.5:1), roller rockers, not particularly pump gas friendly....$2750

Same engine, but replace D0VE heads with budget ported D3VE heads & OEM valve train (8.75:1): $1950.

If you are going a different direction altogether and/or decide to build your own, feel free to call and ask questions.  8)
