Guys, just to throw my unsolicited opinion into the circle to get the conversation in full swing.
What does a jet need "low end torque" for?
The engine has almost NO load until about 3,800 rpm, which just happens to be where the tunnel ram starts to work.
Am I saying the tunnel ram is a great idea? , not specifically, but saying it won't work as bad as you say. It may see a wee bit more on top.
Not trying to start a pissing match, but I disagree with some comments made.
