Title: Log & Snail Question

On the bottom of the snails there are 2 ports. The one closest to the front is where they were originally plumbed. Is there any reason we cannot use the rear port?  We are having a clearance issues with one side, and since the snails rise slightly as they go back I believe that it would clear if we plumbed them there?

Open it up and see if the water will flow the same direction.  You want the water to run its full length of the snail keeping it cool.

Trying to do that now. Can't get the plug out of the back port.  :mad: Trying not to strip or break anything.

Had to have a set welded up as removing the fitting took a small piece of the thread with it... no big deal. Finding another set of snails is easy...

Heating the aluminum around the plug with a propane torch will many times make it easy to remove a stuck plug.
