Title: Log to snail gasket leaking cannot pull apart

So my log to snail gasket is leaking and i cannot pull apart the pieces to change the gaskets. Need help on suggestions how to remove and replace gaskets...please advise

I had the water jackets welded closed on the ends where it meets the snail. No longer have to worry about leaks or corrosion.
