Title: Looking for a engine builder to freshen up a 454
Post by: Katchley on March 26, 2018, 05:13:05 PM: I just pick up a 454 with the heads off. Seller said the head gasket was blown. It’s got aluminum pistons and a mild cam. That what I was told. And can see. I’m looking for some one to freshen it up rings bearings ect..... looking for a repeatable reliable engine guy.

You need a performance race builder. You need blue printing, balancing, all the bells and whistles type of shop.

I called Wayne’s they don’t freshen up engines. I asked if they could just go though it and change the rings and bearings they said they only do compete rebuilds. I’m taking it to bostick racing engines.
