This winter I'm going to be putting some work into the float and I'm looking for a fresh 454 to drop in. Anyone have any recommendations for a builder? Or is it easy enough to find a crate engine in the 5 to 7k price range that will do the job. Putting it into a Carrera eclipse in the pic below.

Don’t know about an entire turn-key engine, but I could do you a 450-500HP built-to-order 454 BBC long block in that price range, including delivery to the greater SoCal area.

Did you find a builder? its really quite simple to build that power in that price range even including Dyno time. Just did a 500hp build for my bosses 71 Bahner with 454.
Do you have a core motor?
