Don't ya just love it when a plan falls apart. Man, crazy shit. Anyway, I have been asked to make a pukle tank like mine on my Nordic. The wierd thing is this person has the same make Nordic.
Ok, nuff, BS. Found some nice 6061 tube and made a drawing from mine on my boat. While I was fishmouthing the breather upright tubes on my Bridgeport milling machine the hole saw adatper broke when a tooth caught. Great, now I pull out the tube notcher I never used because I just use the mill for fishmouthing. Damn :banghead:, the threads are different on the shaft for my cheapie hole saws. I know ;D, I will adapt the broken part to the shaft. My lathe does not have threading capabilties otherwise I would have threaded the tube notcher shaft. Sooooo, I made the hole saw adapter fit the tubenotcher shaft. It made it a litte long but some angle and good to go.

lol... you've got too much time on your hands. I'd have put a bolt and a nut threw the hole saw, welded it together, turn it straight on the lathe and get back to work with a collet on the mill.
Good job though.

Just found 8 feet of the main tubing behind my lathe. I am going to cut up material for 3 more. ;D

good, as soon as i have the extra cash,( hopefully in about a month) i want you to make me one. i like it better than any of the other ones one the market for half the price. im tired of the new motor puking on my valve covers

Ok more pics. I don't use -10AN specific weld in bungs because they do not have a deep enough reach on the backside. I turn down the NPT side and soak them in oven cleaner to remove the blue anodizing.
Also notice the angle welded on the inside of the end plates. They are my baffles. I have them oriented vertically so when the oil hits the angle it drops out of the flow and into the bottom of the tank. I have to also weld a drain in this one. As you can also see, it is all about Jigging this right to get a good weld.

I am waiting for pics from the person I made this one for. I now have a JIG made for the Ford one and I need to make a JIG for the Chevy one. I should have a few made soon.

Miller Dynasty 300DX Inverter machine. Love it, but now I want to get a Dynasty 350DX $$$.

The 350 has a little bit nicer arc. Plus you have more bells and whistles like independently changing the en and ep amperages on ac. I do like the coolmate better on the 350 as well.
