everything is made "marine" for a reason. starters, alternators, fuel pumps, fuel hose, exhaust hose, wire, hose clamps, bolts, etc. to keep your boat safe.

If your getting a fuel pump make sure it has a vent tube and run a hose up to the arrestor. Most will vent but only some come with a vent tube. Carter sells a ventless electric and you dont need to buy the marine one as they both dont vent but there is a price diff. Your alt can have a screen added to the back to make it safe. Get a good blower and use it always before starting. I do have a carter -6 6psi with water fuel sep...$80 plus ship.
