Ran my boat on the hose for a few minutes today to check a few things out. I forgot to turn on the fuel pump and it stalled when I was making a quick carb adjustment. Now I have milky oil. I'm new to this site and jet boats so I hate to ask a dumb question, but is that common or should I start looking at heads & gaskets?
Another thing. I drained the oil and was changing the filter after that and my filter must have been put on by a superhuman because I have tried every trick in the book and can't get the dam thing to budge. I even took out the header on that side to get better leverage. Any suggestions will help. Really don't want to pull the engine.

If you can get to it, put a strap wrench on it. If you don't have one, jam a screwdriver in it to break it loose

Do you have an extra large set of Channel locks? I have had those filters crush like that. There are three ways to get them off .
1. Large channel locks, grab it as high as humanly possible turn steady and slow.
2. Pull the rest of the body of the filter off and use a pin wrench (spanner ) or grab the holes in the top of the filter to spin it off.
3. Use a large screw driver to "taco" or "patato chip" the base and spin it off. The gasket is what is stuck, not the threads.

Thanks guys I have used a strap wrench, claw wrench, self adjusting oil filter socket wrench, driving a screw driver threw it. The next step is the large vise grips. I don't have one big enough so I'm headed out to buy one tomorrow.
I hope that does the trick. I will update tomorrow. Thanks again.

If you can get a chisel is long flat tip screwdriver on the edge of the filter and beat it with a hammer to bend the lip down it should soon off, when that happens

She put up one hell of a fight. It finally took a long metal pole and a sludge hammer to break it loose. With a coordinated effort from the vise gripes and filter claw and channel locks. Thanks again guys.

Took it out to the lake a started it in the water. Everything is working fine now.
No water getting into the oil. I'm not starting it on a water hose anymore LOL😬.
