By chance does anybody know the thread size of the oil plug for 10qt Milodon oil pan?
Ive been changing the oil through the dip stick tube but now the pump dosent want to suck it out now. So I would like to change to something like the fram plug or something else. Thanks in advance.

Every Milodon marine pan I've seen to date the stock drain plug is huge and can be drilled/tapped 3/8" NPT for a right angle AN fitting or hose fitting with a valve that you can hook a hose to and drain out the bilge plug hole. Screw the fitting into the drain plug, reinstall, done............Dunno what a Fram plug is........

Run the hose with a gate valve then a few more inches so u can get it thru the bilge hole. Just remember to close gatevalve :banghead:

Thats the thing I dont like. I have a hard time remembering to close the block drain valves and I end up with a couple inches of water in the bilge before I get away from the ramp. :banghead:
Gonna go pull the oil plug right now. Wish me luck. Haha.

I would use a ball valve, not a gate valve, and tape it's handle with some pretty bright tape if it doesn't already have a bright rubber handle so you can tell instantly from 10 feet or so away if it's open or closed. No need for intermediate settings, all you need is wide open and fully closed! ;)
But yeah, use a small piece of hose from the drain plug to the valve, then another hose from the valve to reach out the transom plug. I WOULD secure all this so it don't flop around all the time you're out there running it. Most ball valves have threaded bosses you can use to make a stringer mount for it, and I'd also add a fitting to the end of the hose I could put a cap on when not draining it JIC the valve decides it't time to leak.
