Hey guys I'm helping my brother build motor mounts to get his bbc 454 in his boat. Was wondering if anyone had pictures of their block before it was all built with the mounts super visible. Thanks appreciate it and any input would be awesome.

What exactly would you like pictures of? I can send pictures of the (3-point) mounts in the boat with no engine and both bare blocks and assembled engines. I just don’t have an engine in the boat to take pictures of.

That would be great. Anything at this point would be helpful.

We're gonna be cutting and fabing tomorrow for them, gonna do custom ones since we have the sheeting laying around. So just looking for pointers, key ideas, etc...

This is what it looked like using those drawings when I was making mine. The front mount I just took my measurements from the block.

My bad, I re read your request, are you doing a rail kit or 3 point? Sorry I assumed a rail kit when you said you were fabing them.

This is what is coming out of mine in favor of a rail kit.

He said, just send pics. I personally like your rail kit better, that is why these are coming out. Hope you send more pics of your setup.

If you don't already have a set of these transfer punches, get some! Will make your life so much easier.

Thank's, I personally think If I'm going to make something, I'd put the effort into a rail kit.
Glamissandman, I think I have a pair of adjustable 3 point mounts I took out of a boat a while back (side mounts, not bell housing). I'd make you a deal on them so that wouldn't make it worth your time to make some. Let me know if you're interested.

I love the big rig brake drum vice/bench grinder stand. Been looking for some old drums to do the same.

Icecreaman thanks for those engineer drawings I matched em up to all my measurement and damn near spot on. I dis make the mistake of thinking I could get away with using the stainless I had for stringer runners but I'm having to take a step back and do aluminum. Way to much extra weight with the stainless.
