Title: Mounting plates

So I have this new trailer that I've been towing around for almost two years without a license plate.
Finally got pulled over for it on the 4th around Moabi.
My other trailer never had a plate and never got rolled so anyways, it's a new trailer and I want to see or hear some suggestions on some really nice and sturdy methods to mount the plate to the trailer.

I would buy a big rig plate bracket, they're hinged and built like brick poo poo huts  ;)

Didnt even dawn on me, but thats a great idea.
They probably have them in Stainless too.

I use  a Stainless "piano hinge" from True value HD ware

I used hinges that I had just laying around.  They only move one way though and eventually ripped it off backing over a curb.  I don't think LEO would have a problem with it, they can see that it is there and visable when you slow down.  We ran ours on hinges for over ten years with no problems (until I found the curb)

My plate is bolted to my fender..... Legal dunno , my trailer for my rail same way.... I asked a cop once he said he dont care but another one might .I always loved the straight forward answers that always leave you hanging :sly:

Sooooo.......... im leaving it that way, it wont fall off and i see ALOT of construction trailer running around the same way.


besides , they will have to catch me first :D

bolted mine straight to the fender on forkedup, put the one on the new boat the same way, not sure about how legal, but have never had an issue with it (knock on wood)

Omar I have serious ENVY for the triple trailer !!
heres my cruiser , got the stainless piano hinge delio never had a complaint !

The back of my trailer in on an angle and I'd like a light on it .
Maybe something ridgid.
