Is it hard to rebuild a Holley 3310? & where is a good place to get a rebuild kit? It can't be any harder than a q-jet.

Not hard I did my first at 20. Just use carb cleaner in all of the passageways to make sure they are all clean. You can get the kits for a good price from summit racing.com

Cool. That's kinda what I thought. When I talked to a guy that only rebuilds carbs wanted 135.00 and struggled with a reason for that price and tried to make it sound like it was terribly hard and a lot of parts to deal with.

I pay 200 or just over when I get mine done...they look and work better than new. All nuts,bolts and brackets go through tumbler and recoated as well. Anyone can do most anything but I trust every bit/part of my carb to Rick in east county.

Yea, I know. Do I have the guy do it and know its right or do I try it and hope its right without haveing to do 2 or 3 times.

Let me ask you this, can you take something apart and put it back together? If not dont touch it. Rebuilding a carb is simple as long as you take your time, count the screw turns on the idle mix screws and take the measurements on the fuel bowls. Basically your taking it apart and cleaning it. Replacing parts with identical ones and that it. And the instructions with the kit will have everything explained and broken down

Yea. I rebuilt q-jets all the time but that was years ago. I never really had a Holley apart.

Holleys are easier in my opinion. Wouldn't hurt to give it a shot

Well i will give it a shot this weekend then. If I screw it up I can always take it to be rebuilt.
