Please show us more of your obvious ignorance. By the way, these heads were in production in 1969...how could they possibly be copied? What hemi head did chebby have back then when this cylinder head design came out?
:D

ROMPERSTINKER, you did NOT have a 454 Entry for the Engine Masters competition that exceeded 1.6+ hp per cubic inch under the rules.
Man, you are completely lost. And ignorant. (Seems you can't stop revealing that about yourself.)

The funnier part is the best engine builders in the country.... built Big Block Chevy's.... and they still didn't win.... the best ;D

-
;D funnier the chevy that came in 2 place had no parts made by chevy this year or last year

Wow, name calling, because you cant take a bit of jabbing about Fords? Seriously man grow up............
-
...........this could end up bad.

Romper clearly has his facts wrong. GM never made a hemi to my knowledge. In '69, the Boss9 was put into street cars for the NASCAR homologation rules to try and compete with the 426 Hemi. Where was chevy in those years? Ford always was on the cutting edge of factory backed racing technology, and the Boss 9 engine wins the wow factor hands down...BigBlockChevys get boring after a while. Another engine that would be interesting to see in a boat would be the 427 SOHC, blown or not.
I have a 455 and already know what most people think of 'em. Makes me like it more.

What do we say now FIATPAR or MORFIAT LOVED MY 1936 C10 Chy airflow first one sold in LAS VEGAS been in family from new. MY uncle owned the dealer ship in VEG in
1936 true 100 mph+ car Veg to LOS ANGLES 3 speed with O. D tach in speedo.

The only reason the BBC became the engine it is to day IS because of Smokey Yunik. Ford and Chevys have all had there glory days. I run a 390 ford people laugh at me but with the right amout of work it would get er done. Speed is money how fast you want to go depends on your check book. just my 2 cents....

Lakesonly. First off I was joking around. And 2nd, the heads your talking about that were made in the 60s only would work on a very rare 429 block. They also had weak componets. The heads above will work On a 460 which is you could compare the the well known 454. Read the article before you pop off. They are recently available unlike the big chief heads that have been around a lot longer. There are also a hand full of companies make different versions of this head for the chevy unlike ford although none of them are a factory production. I was only comparing the 2 in a humorous manner like many do on this forum. I was not stating one was better than the other. For someone to be so quick to judge and call stupid PROVES THAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY THE IGNORANT ONE IN THE CONVERSATION! you also make yourself sound stupid by saying you dont have patience and yet your on a internet forum talking about boats. You obviously have a lot of spare time.

Superiority in engineering has never been the result of sales popularity. Chryler Co. has always built their stuff stronger, faster, and more well thought out than the other guys. Any monkey can build a Chevy but to build a top notch Mopar ya gotta know a little bit more.
Chevy has enjoyed their run due more to sales numbers and availability of aftermarket parts, than any superior engineering from the factory. It is sad to see them both become govt. entities but both companies have had a good run. Times change and you either adapt or get passed by.
See you at the river running whatever ya brung . . .

Boy you guys had a little pissing go on in here. ::)
Kaase decided to build those heads when he heard what C&C Motorsport was getting for there race head and what the "old" OME heads were costing people.
I didn't read the link but when he was doing the R&D on them he was posting dyno numbers from his "mule" motor. If I re-call correctly his 520" 10.4:1 engine made 904 hp at approx. 6,400 rpm.
Sleeper CP ;D
