Title: New motor issue
Post by: 93_ultra on July 03, 2015, 02:44:51 PM
So I recently put in a 496. Some bells and whistles. Broke it in on the lake the other day. Not a single issue. Today on the water at elsi bbc.co ore. I start going and it is bogging down at about 3000 rpm. Im thinking water fuel seperator. Anything else I should check, idled just fine.

Seem rich? Blown pv? I'd think it'd be running rough at low rpm if water was in the fuel.... or did u install the separator after u broke her in?

Drained a filters worth of fuel out of the water fuel seperator. Cleaned the carb to since water was in the accelerator pump.
