After doing a little searching and failing, I've got a question.

Currently I'm running a fresh 460 with a slightly more than mild cam, roller rockers, Edelbrock RPM intake, 800 Demon carb, MSD distributor w/6m-2 and rev limiter set at 5K and pretty much stock everything else.
My pump is a 12JC-A stock w/manual place diverter and about 20 hrs on it. Seems to be good with no vibrations at any rpm.

My question is what is my next step for top end speed? Right now I'm running about 1mph for every 100 rpm. So 3400 rpm = 34 mph.

Porting is on my list.

Beginning to think maybe start with a boat that has full stringers and closed bow. THEN start on the motor.

A good hull design can make a big difference in top speed. 

Ralph picked up around 10mph by taking his engine out of a Hondo and putting it into a Liberty   

Maybe look into having the bottom of your boat blue printed.

starting with a good hull never hurts , but if you are happy with your current boat and plan on keeping it for a while, i would suggest swapping out the JC bowl for a split bowl and adding a droop . try to make your hull as efficient as possible then add HP. in the end , speed cost money. how fast can you afford to go?

GS Marine in Corona is one of the best in so cal.
