Title: Oil change help!

I would like to know what you guys use to suck the oil out through the dipstick? I'm having a hell of a time trying to get the oil out. I bought a cheap fluid transfer pump from orielles it didn't do well. Then I went back and bought the big siphon tool that looks like a grease gun. It didn't work. I need some kin of a pump. I have seen drill driven and 12v pumps. Please help me out. Something so easy but its got me frustrated! Thanks, TC

I use an oil drain kit hose on the jets, but use the pump on the I/O's

Will drain 6 quarts of lukewarm oil in about three minutes...I also have a Balkamp (NAPA trade name) magnetic oil pan heater.... :thumbup:

I gots the extension hose on the oil bung on the pan.. Takes forever, I put the hose out the hull drain and let it trickle oil overnight or while I'm at work, come home and finish it. My old boat that didn't have that I tried putting a flexible funnel under the pan and let the funnel hose run out the hull drain... Ended up dumping in the hull, draining and sopping it up w paper towels.. to do the old one again, is have a fumoto valve with a 3/8" nipple on it that I could put a hose on and easily drain it the next time. I have fumotos on my trucks and I do my own changes, I love 'em.

I hook the pump to my drain hose kits.... ;)  The Fumoto looks killer though...Baller!  LOL... ;D

Rex Marine has these oil drain kits for under $30. I am building myself a setup like this, but with AN fittings

My old boat had a drain line like that. You could run it through the transom to a drain pan. Slow but works good. I need to pull off the exhaust and see if I can get to the drain plug. I feel like the pan is so close to the floor I might not be able to spin a fitting in there? Thanks for the help!
