What are you guys running for oil coolers and how do you have them set up?

I've got a cooler I'll probably install after the 1st of the year. It's a 14" Eddie marine cooler. They run about 135$ for a chrome one

Do you need an oil cooler if you don't have a super charger?

If you keep your foot in it for long distances, the oil will build heat.
Some plumb them to help equalize the water temp with the oil temp and build engine temperature instead of cooling.

Oil cooling is really sort of over thought most times.
Questions needing to be answered before you go cooler are quite simple.
How warm does your oil run as it is set up now?
At what running condition does get hottest?
How often do you run it that hard?
How much and what type of oil?
What do you have for windage control (many times it's foam causing the excess heat)?
How is your cooling system set up?

Ya check the oil level. Gt mentioned that to me and it ended up being my problem. Took 2 qrts out and it dropped my oil temp 50degress. I can still get it up to 280+ degrees running hard or for a long time so I'm still gunna put the small cooler on but check your oil first

Where would you put an oil cooler? Are breather tanks and oil coolers the same?

What?
An oil cooler is just a small heat exchanger using water to directly cool the oil.
A breather tank is simply a vessel to hold breather vomit.

Sorry I don't know why I asked that I was thinking one thing and writing another. I'm in Vegas.
