Neither hold that much oil IMO. Go with a 10 quart

I can not see a 4qt.  I like Dooley 14 qt pans myself. But that said, it's all about oil temp.  I have seen some 5qt including filter come in my shop that were low rpm only and oil temp and pressure  never was a problem and those boats have over 1000 hours on them.

Check out armondos racing oil pans for boats.   I bought his 10 quart pan and pickup.  It fit great and I feel much safer than with the 6 quart

I had a 14 qt dan Olsen oil pan on my v drive. It was much nicer than the milodon I have on my jet boat. much better trap doors and baffling. I really like the Dan Olsen pans. I also want a pan that holds  atleast 8 qts in anything of mine that hangs out over 4000 rpms. just my opinion

Go at least with a 2 o 3 qt accumulator if you don't change
