I started putting my spare Jet boat motor together for the season today (.030" over 454) and found a leftover set of really nice Speed Pro domes that have like 5 hours on them in storage, the problem is the heads I have (98cc ovals) will make the CR like 12.7:1

, fine if I want to run alcohol, but I don't.
So I started looking around for some spare heads and found some big chamber peanut ports and another set of closed that need a guide replaced (101cc ovals) and I want to be in the neighborhood of 120cc for a total CR of 10.0:1, oval preffered but not real picky (I always find the throttle resonse and mid range power to be more desireable with oval port stuff

)
So what would you do?
I have enough crap to put together a short block, just don't want to get stuck trying to find some heads...
Looking to trade, swap, buy, sell and then buy to get where I need to be. I will be going to the Good Guys get together in Pleasonton at the end of the month with a bunch of leftover race boat crap that I don't need and may get lucky there, but your input would be appreciated...
I have;
perfect set (still shiney) of Speed Pro p/n L2349-F30 pistons mounted on 3/8" bolted rods ready to rock. (2 bolt block cut to fit these)
built set of cast #3872702 heads 98cc ovals
trashed set of cast #3964290 heads 101cc ovals (need a guide replaced due to dropped valve)
built set of cast #14092360 heads peanut port unknown cc's (didn't check but they're big)
Also have an Edelbrock performer for the peanuts, also have an OEM cast iron manifold for the peanuts.
I just need this as a back up motor for the jet, may end up putting in the jet this year depending what I find in the 468 in the boat now (a lot of metal in the pan

).
How does it go again? two steps forward one step back!
Thanks in advanced!
