Cruising along and just shut down
« on: September 24, 2009, 07:15:35 AM »
I was cruising along the other day and the motor just shut down. Looked and the fuel filter was empty. Had plenty of gas and the pump is new. I switched tanks just for grins and it filled the filter and off I went. I noticed the line from the Left tank to the fuel pump is too long. It actually circled clims up the transom then into the pump. Can a redundent line cause this ? Should I cut the line to make it as short as possible ?

I have to disagree guys....

if he is switching between tanks, not drawing from both at the same time, fuel line length wouldnt matter.

i suspect a dropped pickup tube or a clogged line.  :sly:
