Title: olds 455 cooling

I have a 455 olds. I am curious what temp it should be running at. It is running steady at 180. It is running without a thermostat. Is this too hot?

Mine runs at 140.

Been running 180 for 8 seasons now no problems as long as it dont go over 195 at the no wake zones. ;)dose it cool down when your underway?
