Hi,
New to Olds power. I Bought a 73 Kona with a 455. I was writing down casting numbers and noticed that the block is a 68-70 396021 F code. The heads are 403859 with NUMBER 6 at the lower corners. These are the casting IDs of Olds 350 heads. Anyone heard of this??
thx

I do know that this was done to increase the C/R, but not sure about yours, the chambers are smaller on some of the SB heads, the biggest issue is the angle of the pushrod holes.
Here is a link to more info than you can use... these 442 guys have it worse than we do :screwy:

Let us know what gives. ;)

I have heard of those interchanges, but mostly 350 heads on a 403 for the c/r boost...I been on the internet all night lookin for a interchange similar to mine. It does have the big pan, but I don't know if any of the other oiling mods have been done. What would I look for to check...
