New temp sensor in front starboard intake manifold port - gauge reads low end of scale until it heats up then pegs out on the top end. 75% cruise at 4200 RPM IR thermometer shows 80 degrees on the exhaust logs, 160 on the block (front and rear) 162 on the intake manifold, and 170 at the collectors.

U half to have matching gauge and sending unit to read the correct temp.

A direct replacement for the one that worked last year, before the rebuild.

might have changed the ohm's for the gauge.  you never know.  always a good idea when changing gauges is to buy the correct sending unit that way you know you have the right stuff
