Title: predator carb...
Post by: fastboy-01 on June 26, 2012, 08:08:16 PM
so i found a predator carb free and figured wtf... put it on and nothin. lean pop through carb wouldnt idle. played with it till i ran the attery dead restarting it and gave up. then i remembered my friend has one on his mud truck. took it to him, went through it real quick and reset everything to factory and it fired right up. didnt get a chance to drive the boat as it was dark, but i will let you all know how it turns out. i can say for sure that the edelbrock i took off wasnt in the same ballpark for throttle response. :) also i am going to try to scan the predator book into my computer as there is not a whole lot of info and fewer pics on tuning them.

If you can eat or breathe you can rebuild a predator. If you have trouble with those things try calling Predator in NJ. The company is still in business and they can give a lot of info over the phone.
