Post by: trmn8ter on July 25, 2011, 08:20:09 PM
Anybody know what the purple wire on my 77 southwind is for?  I just found it disconnected and when the key is on its hot.  Everything works So I cant figure out what it does?

Thanks in advance

Purple is the designated color for "ignition", it could have literally come from anywhere. Gages, accessories, ignition system, electric fuel pump...Anything....

My guess would be it went to something that is not working at the present time.... :sly:

Where is it disconnected? I'm guessing it goes to a guage if everything still works
