Title: Quadrajet from a454 to a 350?

Will it work without any jetting or any other changes? It floods the engine very easy, won't do anything above a rough idle. I read about possibly stuck floats, now I have gas pumping out the vent tube after attempting to "unstick" the float with a straightened paper clip

Sounds like it needs a kit. These use a plastic float and it sounds like you have a bad one.

About the only thing your should need to change are the initial secondary butterfly tension setting and the idle mixture will be off.

Which screw is for the idle, throttle side or choke side? Or do I have to adjust both?

There are two idle mixture screws on a Q-Jet, they need to be adjusted together..... The idle mixture screws are in the throttle plate just above the mounting gasket in the fuel inlet side of the carb... (considered the front).
