Truck motor to marine motor?
« on: February 25, 2019, 08:53:25 PM »
I bought a 19ft anthony jet boat set up for a bbf and i have a 460 out of a truck. Other than the cam and oil pan what else would i need to make it just a simple cruiser motor its a d9te-ab block with some stock heads ( im looking for a set of better heads). Also what carb intake setup for a cruiser motor. Just trying to get out on the water

As long as the engine is sound, go ahead and use it. Don't go too big on the cam, the stock 460 heads are useless for flow, so there is nothing to be gained with a big cam anyways. I assume you aren't planning to turn it over 4000 rpm, because that's about it for a 460 in stock form.
