Title: Question on starter
Post by: Squirrel Master on May 02, 2015, 11:44:40 AM: Okay so I cook my starter and if it's not under warranty I'm going to have to buy new one so my motor is 9.7 to 1 470 horse ford should I just get a high torque Marie starter or just a regular marine starter because the one I have now is the automotive starter

Post by: Squirrel Master on May 02, 2015, 11:50:30 AM: I don't I went cheap last time and we're here so I'm not worried about what I have to pay for is just a marine starter or a high torque starter it doesn't matter either way is just I don't want to overspend if I don't have to with my compression level

Post by: philofab on May 02, 2015, 01:00:57 PM: If you are using a factory style starter order one for a 1996 Ford F250 with a 7.5L. Those are factory gear reduction starter and very high quality. Much better than the old direct style starters.

Post by: philofab on May 02, 2015, 01:47:44 PM: FYI, the PMGR starter I posted above starts my 545 in my F100 just fine. I've never had an issue with it yet.
