quick stupid header plumbing question

i am putting my Fugly headers on thursday night when i get to the river. would this work, pump-T-block, thermo house- 2 overboard dumps, then use a valve on this fitting to put water to the basset valve to the headers?

this is kind of a throw it together rush deal, i got a guy that wants my logs and stainless harlines, so im just gonna go to parker and get a bunch of pushlok fittings and hose

Should work, but I'd probably go with 1 o/b dump instead of two, leave the plug alone and run the other through the headers and regulate with a ball or gate valve of the pump.

Trashy headers though, who cares? if they blue they blue. I think you're fine to try it, I just dunno if you;re gonna get enough water pressure to open up the T Valve to the headers.

(I have ruined a perfectly new set of Rewarders on Moo due to water issues on her maiden voyage, and still they remain on there as testament).

yeah not worried bout blueing em, i payed 100 for em. they're getting coated at the end of the season anyways. i want to keep it simple, no pressure relief valves or any of that crap. my motor was plumbed directly to the block last season with a fresh pump and had no problems.

just make sure theres a gate valve right at the pump. open that 1 1/2 to 2 turns and run her. if she heats up give her a litlle more water. some guys run another valve on the dump end but in my experience that valve has always been wide open so I stopped plumbing it in. some guys may disagree with me but its always worked for me, even on a sbc.

there is a valve there, but its always been wide open.
the way i look at it, the more mechanical things you put on a boat, the more things can possibly fail

 bought the cheapest AN that you can, push on straight ones. Haha and I also made some stainless transom block offs today
