Does it have a fuel pressure gauge on it? Add one. What's it's ignition timing set at? What kind of ignition system is on it? Need some more details of what you got...

6 psi is OK, but only if it stays there while you're hammering it. Do what this guy says  ::)

ok took it out as 6psi even when foot is burried in it. runs great for about 300 hundred yards then spit sputer and then here comes the water over the rear.love when it dies and wont start fast enough then swamped.then i have to dry everything off espically the dist, and wires.love that part also need a water tight dist.or just for this thing to stay running.

Have someone ride along and watch the engine/jet area, I've been having water spray out of the upper steering pivot pin on the jet and get the distributor wet causing it to crap out.

mike, see the fuel filters if they can keep up with flow wanted to boat, also if the boat has rudder then when the bitch quits turn hard, wake wave will continue forward straight thus no 2ft breakers get you, spray the distr. with silicone spray to stay dry also, we use that for the people who have computer controls in spa areas that get real wild with the ladies, stays dry and still works too. my .02 good luck ;D

That wouldn't happen if the Dist was in the front like it is supposed to be  ;D ;D

chaz at least ford was smart enough to circle the problem .and it takes fifteen times the money to go as fast as a chevy.lol ill try the silicon spray. also running a panther pump havent found a rutter for it yet

15 times the money?  When I start with more cubes, and don't need 3 rows of head bolts or 4 bolts on my mains...  Maybe 1.3 times more for a stroker, but who can get more displacement with a stroker without a ton of machine work?  Correct me if it's my math at fault; or it is just your prejudice against a machine that enjoys producing torque >:D

Forgive The Chaz's biased opinion.  :D  It definately won't cost you 15 times the $ to build a real nice 460 that would be very comparable in power to a Chevy, just a few bucks more. Way easier and cheaper to build a stroker Ford than it is a Chevy. But then again...

Baseball, hot dogs, and Chevrolet baby!  >:D
