Title: Rewarded headers
Post by: pipes on May 11, 2014, 07:31:56 PM
My wife thinks the over transom headers are way too loud and I know the one lake I go to will have the patrol chasing me down as soon as I start the engine.
What is the best slip in muffler to use to quiet it down. They're water injected. I'd like to be able to remove them easily when wanted.

In my opinion they are all the same. If your headers have the hole on the bottom to bolt up some baffles just by the rewarder baffles, slip them in and your done. Perfect fitment and they'll be as quiet as all other baffles out there. Like previously stated I don't know anything about baffles I could be totally wrong...Somebody will either confirm or deny my post.

The ones on the left will be the quieter of the two and will zap a few hp with it.
The ones on the right, not so much.

I bought them for my headers and you will be surprised how quiet it makes it. I couldn't take it and cut mine in half. I keep them in the boat (just in case) but they are still way too quiet. The one I have look like auger bits and seriously it takes the open header sound and turns it into as quiet as my factory chevy tahoe exhaust.
