After a long time of searching I thought I found some SBC Basset OT headers for my 73 Kona project with a jacuzzi WJ :banghead:.
Deal was pretty much done just needed to send the guy the money, then discovered they where for a V-drive :'(.
My question is will they work for my jet drive or not :-\ and heres a link to my project and a pic of the headers.

The main diffrence is the angle of the collectors , try and see how it looks!

The way he explained it to me was the back of the Motor on a jet drops down verses a V drive is up which would place the headers close to my transom or something like that ??? ??? :sly:

I have the same headers on my sbc jet. Only way to know is to put them on. Did you get the adapter plates? Those take a plate between the head and the header, it's a Hooker pattern adapter, not the common Stahl adapter.

gregb, yes adapter plates and water lines included. He decided not to use them cause he was going to run the dry and ended up being one inch from his transom.

I sent some pics to your email, if you have trouble finding the gasket for the plate to the header let me know and I'll get the Mr Gasket number for you, might take a week or so though.

Thanks Greg, I just looked at your pics. Nice boat :thumbup: Looks similar to my Kona. I think I'll move forward and get the headers. Its a good deal the guys making me. What kind of pump you running ?

It's a berkeley. That's my old boat actually, I pulled the engine to go in another hull. With a 383 small block it did 70. I don't think that particular hull (were talking about my boat) had a whole lot more in it, rode too wet as it only has two of the lifting strakes that run all the way to the back. Very shallow v so it was fairly quick, even when it had a 350. Once I get my rogers done I'll put an engine back in the old one and sell it as a running boat. Hardest thing about running a small block is finding some exhaust that wont break the bank........
The boat in your sig looks like it has the same colors as the 74 rogers I'm building.
