Title: small block in a mini day?

Do you guys think a stroked LT1 would push a 21 ft omega with a jacuzzi yj ? I have one layin around lol well out of a truck project and was kickin around motor ideas for the father son project but not sure if ill move the heavy mini day I'd like to run around 50 if possible

Fwiw, my 390 HP bbc pushes my 21' ultra to 58mph with a fresh McLure pump, place diverter and HP mini droop.. pending test drive with new place diverter droop/ride plate..

lots of factors, how many ponies, hull design, boat weight, impeller I.D. overall condition of pump itself..

I know that my diverter added a few mph on top.

Ya no diverter its a 94 omega and im estimating around 400 HP maybe a bit more and the tag says b impeller

What motor was in the Omega? 455 Olds (stock) hp +/- 320 hp, bbf-340, bbc- 330. My SBC turns a Dom "A" impeller at 46-4700 R's (+/- 325 hp, by berk imp chart) on a tight pump. Motor is pretty stock-TBI heads, suburban roller cam .412"I/.428"E, Eddy performer rpm manifold, 650 holley, 1.6 ratio roller tipped rockers, O.T. sprint car headers, prestolite? unolite? something lite dizzy. Pushes an 18' bow rider 55+.

A 383 with good heads, cam & intake EASY 425 hp, prolly spin that YJ 5K-5200 R's.
A crate ZZ4 turns a berk A at 51-5200 :thumbup:

Cool thanks its a full roller motor ported heads its got a stroker crank believe its a 383 not sure the crank has a deer head emblem never heard of it or seen one and its out of a Camaro so its the LT1 and high rise hm performance with a holley 650

Well hp spins the prop so i would say horse power is horse power weather its big block or small block.id build a bad ass small block and leave it at that. I was informed by tom that the yj is a low pressure high volume pump that doesn't respond well to large amounts of horsepower. Iirc tom said anything over 500 is pushing it.

On another note I have seen like 4-5 mini and full size cruisers for sale on craigs w/ sbc's
