OK i put some fuel in one of my tanks after sitting all winter.the tanks were drained before storage. fired boat up. came back later in the day smelled gas. pulled tank found small pin hole in tank for corrosion.besides welding or replacing the tank is there any other way to repair the tank.

I would go with new tanks....a fuel leak from a tank is incredibly dangerous....

uhhhhhhh YUP! I second that mothion! First hand experience........   Don't mess with them, and the last guy I had take a look at one told me two things. IF he could weld it without blowing it up, it would probably leak somewhere else shortly. He made me two custom tanks. Going over this afternoon to pull the tank from my neighbors 17'7" aluminum Bass Boat for a similar problem. Taking the tank to Alllen to make another dupe.......

Trying to convince him to dump the 75 Merc and lemme put a Berk in it........not having much success......lol!

Post a picture...I've got a few sets I might be getting rid of

IMCO and I would assume other places weld used tanks by filling them with inert gas, however IMCO will only repair their own tanks I believe.  If corrosion is a factor, then maybe it's time for a new tank.
