Old plugs are looking a little...well, old. New plugs might freshen it up. I have CR43T plugs in now. The auto parts store had MR43LTS plugs but I found the threads to be a little longer. Afraid it might be too long and hit the piston. Unless someone knows that I'll have enough clearance, I'm not going to install these just yet. Going back to another store to find the shorter threaded ones tomorrow. What's everyone else running in a stock 454 motor?

Wrong plug. The "M" is marine (plated) the "S" is an extended tip, the "L" needs to go away.

Roger. So I don't even want the "S" in it. I'm going to grab one tomorrow, MR43T

You may not have a choice in the matter. The extended tip isn't as bad as it sounds. But you don't want a long reach plug.
If you can find MR43T, run with it.
Not sure I caught it, what ignition system?

No idea. Some dinky little distributor with no label on it. I was thinking of switching that out soon. What would you go with?

Honestly, anything without points. Pertronix work well, MSD, ACCEL, DUI, all work pretty well.
Budget normally dictates what you put in.

Petronix is located in San Dimas. I have a cousin that works there and he says there R&D dept is constantly working on projects and they take it serious. Plus if by chance you have a warranty claim they can turn it around for you real quick" just my .02 cents
