Before we decided to go with the twin turbos we put a spare 6-71 blower and Bassett twisties on the 19.  This is how it looks.

I looked around a bit for a pic w/ headers and didn't find one.  Interesting . . .

I don't think it would ruin the look of the boat any.   I have kids so I kinda like the safety and quiet of logs, but if you want a hot rod go for it.  I also don't like having to keep a ski rope off of them, but that isn't a very big deal either.   It is $500 that could go towards your interior though.   I'm just sayin' . . .

If you do decide to run headers...run through transom headers so you still have a hot rod look and keep the tips or get some nice stainless tips...Teague marine has a post on em used for 30 bucks.

This will also keep the noise police off you ass and you will not have transom plugs for the holes either.

I might be able to use that hatch.   Mine was in pretty rough shape as I remember.   Damn I gotta get moving on that boat.  Summer is almost here.

I've got a full width original Spectra 19 hatch sitting on the side of the shop if you want to go back to the stock layout.  It would clear a tunnel ram, not headers though.  Freebie, just come and get it.

Also I'll part with the headers shown in the above picture for $70.00 .  There are sandblasted, but could use a light pass again prior to paint or jet-coating.  No water lines or muffler inserts, no rot that I can remember.

Cheers, Mark

The fiberglass one with the little intake opening in the center?   Do you know if it will fit a 20' ?    Is it in good shape?   I'd be very interested in that and could probably be there tomorrow.

John , I wanna say all the covers were the same.
They all hugged the motors pretty tight.
The jumper seats in the 20 were obviously wider than the 18 .
The only thing that changed was the width of the motors themselves which I'm assuming was acounted for .

we never got the boat to run right for old jay, turned out it had a flat cam, but once a new stick gets put in it we'll find out, and let you know...the 19's are totally different then the 18's and 20's but all in all i like all spectra's

Sorry for the delayed response, had a wedding to go to this afternoon.

Filterbiz, your PM got to me first.  We'll be here at the shop all day tomorrow, I'll give you a call.

GlassCutter, are you looking for a cover for a 19' or 20' Spectra?  I have a standard 20' Spectra engine box and jump seats stuffed in another corner of the shop, basic white, if that's what you need.

Cheers, Mark

I will probably be in Corona day after tomorrow but I don't know what time.   PM me your number or call me and I'll see what I can do about picking it up.
